Okay so it is not official that Brett Favre is returning to the NFL with the Minnesota Vikings but in my mind it is a done deal—and I hate it.
Here is a guy who used to be a legend in my mind as one of the best quarterbacks to ever play the game. Now what do I think about him? Well quite frankly I can’t stand the guy anymore.
I started to find him incredibly annoying about five seasons ago from this one, 2009, when he was contemplating retiring before deciding to come back to the Packers. He was all set to be retired and the Packers did what they needed to do—draft a QB. The unfortunate man to have his name called was of course Aaron Rodgers. Once Favre decided he was not done I thought, “Hey, well okay he will come back for a final year and then retire and hand the keys over to Rodgers who could learn under him for a whole season.” Read the rest of this entry »
